FaithRide Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 18, 2025

Welcome to FaithRide, a Christian-based rideshare platform that connects Riders with independent Driver partners. By creating an account or using the FaithRide website, app, or services (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Christian Code of Conduct

FaithRide promotes a Christ-centered environment. All users (Riders and Drivers) agree to:

2. Independent Contractor Disclosure (Drivers)

Drivers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of FaithRide. Drivers:

FaithRide only provides a technology Platform that connects Riders and Drivers.

3. Insurance Requirements (Drivers)

Drivers must maintain valid vehicle insurance that complies with all state and local laws and is appropriate for rideshare or transportation-for-hire activity. Because many personal auto policies do not cover commercial or rideshare use, Drivers are responsible for obtaining:

Drivers must also maintain a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and any other permits required by law. FaithRide may request proof of insurance or licensing and may deactivate Drivers who fail to provide or maintain valid documentation.

4. Liability Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk

FaithRide is a technology Platform only. FaithRide does not own vehicles, does not provide transportation services, and does not control Drivers or Riders. Each trip is a private agreement between the Rider and the Driver.

By using the Platform, Riders and Drivers acknowledge and agree that transportation inherently involves risks, including accidents, injuries, property damage, vehicle malfunction, crime, and misconduct by other parties. Users voluntarily assume all such risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FaithRide, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any:

Drivers are solely responsible for the safe operation of their vehicles and for the conduct of their passengers while in their vehicles. Riders are responsible for their own conduct and for securing their own personal belongings.

5. Payments, Fees, and Cancellations

All payments are processed securely through third-party providers (such as Stripe). FaithRide does not directly store card numbers. By using the Platform, you authorize FaithRide and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for fares, fees, and applicable taxes.

7. Background Checks (Drivers)

Drivers authorize FaithRide to request or conduct background and driving-record checks where permitted by law. FaithRide may deny or deactivate Driver accounts based on safety-related or disqualifying information.

8. Privacy

FaithRide respects your privacy. Information such as your name, phone number, email, and trip data is used only to operate and improve the Platform, comply with legal requirements, and support safety and customer service. FaithRide does not sell your personal data to third parties.

9. Technology & Service Limitations

FaithRide does not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. GPS, mapping, and network services may be inaccurate or unavailable. Payment processing may occasionally fail or be delayed. FaithRide is not liable for losses arising from technical failures, outages, or third-party service issues.

10. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Users agree to first contact FaithRide at support@faithride.org to attempt to resolve any disputes informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that any claim or controversy arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform will be resolved by binding arbitration in the State of Texas, rather than in court, and that you waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

FaithRide may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When updates are made, the “Effective Date” above will be revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
